What makes the Prostate-Excel Forte™ formula special?

As all other True Botanica health products this all natural formula has the highest quality standardized ingredients to ensure maximum effectiveness but in addition the individual components are rhythmically prepared in such a way that the effect is extended to all three levels of body, mind and spirit.  

1. Saw palmetto – this palm tree extract is known to lower the levels of dihydrotestosterone, an androgenic hormone that becomes too abundant over the years and leads to hair loss and an enlarged prostate. Multiple studies have shown it to be very effective but only if the appropriate amounts are taken daily. At 640 mg we even go beyond the recommended dosage!
2. Beta sitosterol – these plat extracts have been used in Europe for decades for improving prostate related problems. In one study the so called International Prostate Improvement Score improved 3.5 fold over the placebo treated group. Urine flow as such increased by 35% in the beta sitosterol group. Perhaps most importantly the residual urine left in the bladder of the treated group decreased by an amazing 54%! However, in all mentioned studies effectiveness was shown with beta sitosterol levels at approximately 150 mg/ dose daily. Most formulas contain much less. Our formula contains double that amount, 300 mg/dose, more than enough to ensure the same benefits seen in the studies-and beyond.
3. Pumpkin seeds also contain strong herbal sterols, similar to the sterols from pine trees mentioned above. In studies scientists have shown that up to 80% of men treated with pumpkin seeds had a significant improvement in their bladder function.
4. Pygeum africanum is less well known then saw palmetto but merits special attention due to several studies. In one of them pygeum was shown to inhibit the proliferation and growth of cultured human prostate cells, the so called myofibroblasts and fibroblasts. These cells are essential in the abnormal growth of the prostate gland.  The mechanism of action is not well understood but the success of use of this herb for over 40 years in Europe is not in doubt. In distinction to saw palmetto, pygeum seems to increase the elasticity of the bladder wall and beneficially increases the prostate secretions. Normally about 50-100 mg is included in a formula. We have supplied here close to 200 mg!
5. This is the only formula that contains a special extract of frankincense (boswellia) that has been standardized to 90% active fractions that inhibit the 5-lipoxygenase enzyme. When the 5-LO enzyme was inhibited in cell cultures with prostate cancer cells massive programmed death of these cancer cells resulted. One would have to swallow over 1 gram (1,000 mg) of the usually offered frankincense extract to get the effectiveness that is available here in several milligrams.
6. Lycopene was proven to shrink a swollen prostate gland. In a large epidemiological study it was shown that men eating high daily amounts of tomatoes that contain lycopene had an up to 45% lesser chance of developing prostate problems. (Lycopene, quercetin and vitamin E also have the quality of being powerful antioxidants. A high antioxidant level is key to maintaining a low risk for developing prostate cancer)
7. Zinc is essential for the male physiology. Among others it is needed in making the male sex hormones. Zinc has the ability to stop the enzyme 5-alpha reductase which leads to an increase in the size of the prostate gland. This formula contains 100% of the recommended daily amount.
8. Nettles have been known since antiquity to help with urination. More recent research shows that nettles block the DHT receptors in the prostrate helping it to shrink in size. But they also help with reducing frequency through contributing to empty the bladder more effectively.
9. Uniquely to True Botanica the Pentas™ process is being used to give the formula a distinctive spiritual advantage besides the physical. Wherever you see the word Pentas™ in the formula it means that the herb or minerals have been subjected to a rhythmical potentizing process that is vital in making this a truly holistic formula that reaches all three levels of body, mind and spirit.
10.  This formula contains Selenium Select®, the most researched form of organic selenium available. It is the form selected by the National Institutes of Health for all its cancer prevention studies. It is an L(+) form which gives it the highest bioavailability and potency. In a Harvard School of Public Health study, men with the greatest selenium intake had a two-thirds lower risk of developing advanced prostate cancer over the next decade than those with the lowest selenium intake.
11. Lignans are natural plant extracts that are increasingly understood to play a major role in prostate cancer prevention. After ingestion they are transformed into so called enterolactones that oppose hormone related cancer growth. In a large Swedish study done on thousands of men those with the highest enterolactone levels had an 82% lower chance of developing prostate cancer then the one’s with the lowest levels.
12. With increasing age men tend to paradoxically increase the conversion of testosterone into estrogen. DIM, or diindolylmethane, naturally extracted from broccoli or cauliflower, metabolizes this excess estrogen to bring the hormones into balance again.
13. Chrysin is an extract of the blue passionflower. It significantly contributes to block the so called aromatase enzyme which contributes to the conversion of testosterone to estrogen. It thus essentially stabilizes the normal testosterone levels in men.  
14. Bioperine ® is a patented spice extract that significantly increases the blood levels of all the other ingredients included in the formula and thus make it even stronger.
15. Based on Rudolf Steiner’s research the trace minerals from beryl, other naturally occurring organic rocks as well the herbal extracts of hellebore and Lightroot™ have been included.
