This is a very up to date and comprehensive formula of daily multiple vitamins and minerals. It not only strives to give the full 100% daily value for essential nutrients, but it also takes into consideration the recommendations of the National Academy of Sciences. It includes several significant conditionally essential ingredients that optimize health but for which there is no established daily value yet. Choline, for example, is of great importance to the brain but is not considered to be an essential nutrient by the government offices (although there is ample evidence to support this use). Over 19 of the present components are at 100% DV, exceptions being only required minerals like magnesium, potassium and calcium for which such large amounts are needed that making them available in a daily multiple vitamin/mineral would be impractical (see Calcium AM and PM and some of our other products). The vitamin A content is purposely less than 100% DV since this has been found to be a safer amount. Vitamin K, available usually only in the mid range DV’s is present here in full amounts.

 

Trace Minerals

Have been included in this formulation because our soils are so depleted of trace minerals due to a chemically based agriculture that supplementation is required. The lack of trace nutrients is all the more vexing since practically no function in the body can progress properly without adequate amounts of trace minerals. We are offering a full spectrum of ionic trace minerals that is low in sodium and free of toxic heavy metals. These trace minerals have been obtained from the Great Salt Lake, an inland sea, where the washout from the rivers, weather, and other geological processes have produced a combination of salts that are ideal for the human physiology. The trace mineral mix is standardized and guaranteed to contain magnesium, boron (!), selenium, lithium, chloride, and more than 70 other trace elements.

Trace amounts of the gem stone emerald have been added in order to utilize the subtle physiological qualities inherent in this natural form of chromium. Traditionally emerald has been associated with energizing the solar plexus, the seat of essential will and metabolic life forces.

 

The scientist R. Steiner pointed out that a finely dispersed mixture of the six herbs yarrow, chamomile, oak, nettles, dandelion and valerian greatly increase the absorption and utilization of trace and macro minerals. They also strengthen the life energy and reinvigorate tired physiological and metabolic forces.

Bioperine® used in this formulation is a patented form of piperine, an extract of black pepper. It has powerful thermogenic effects increasing the general bio-availability of nutrients from the intestine, increasing their absorption by more then 60%. (Selenium levels are increased by Bioperine® 30%; vitamin B6 levels by 250% !; coenzyme Q levels by 30%; and vitamin C by 200%). It stimulates the release of digestive enzymes, is anti-inflammatory and increases the GI blood flow. It stimulates Central Nervous System activity in the brain stem, improves breathing, and has pain relieving actions.
